On 4th March 2020, Dr Marie Dittmer and Katie Mayne visited two Belfast schools, Belfast Royal Academy and Our Lady and St. Patrick’s Knock. They gave a one-hour seminar to approximately forty, year 14 Biology students on the career paths and the life of a PhD student and Research Fellow.
They then explained how Multiple sclerosis affects patients and the work that is done in the research lab. All pupils were engaged and asked questions after the talk. We look forward to arranging more visits in the future!
